About

In November 2013 I felt God inspired me to start writing poetry, and I never want to stop. In January 2014 I felt called to share that poetry, so created this blog, which then began to also feature more varied creative writing.

If the blog glorifies God, it was worth writing; if the content means something to anyone else, it was worth sharing.

The blog, and its contents are constantly developing – all comments are very welcome.

In my first year, there was generally a piece of my own original writing every day Monday to Saturday, usually poetry. Thursdays featured verses from the bible, and on Fridays a haiku dedicated to a charity. Otherwise you will find worship music, videos, quotations and the work of well known poets mixed in with my own work.

The second year was a struggle with less than a quarter of the number of posts compared to year 1. Year 3 saw a bit of a bounce back.

2017 is now the fourth year of Faith Unlocked and I am trying once again, with God’s help and for His glory, to find the voice He has given me and the purpose to which it is directed.

You can read a bit more about what interest me here.

I hope you enjoy reading my blog! God bless you!

  2. Hi. I just wanted to say that it is great to see that you have recently visited my blog. I haven’t seen you for a long time. You know, frequent visitors start to feel like friends. And when friends come back after being gone for a while, it feels good. So thank you.

  3. Thanks for the “like” of my recent post. Your poetry is so encouraging and insightful. Thanks for sharing your gift. I will be back for more! Blessings upon you.

    1. Thank you for your kind words. (I apologize for not replying sooner. When life got busy, I lost track of several important messages in my in box.)

  4. Thank you for stopping by my blog.

I really like your “About” page, but wondered if you might prayerfully consider changing one thing: “Evolving” is an evolution word, and I think is a bit deceptive. I prefer to use the word “develop”, which more truly connotes intelligent special creation. This probably doesn’t matter to most people; yet, I cannot help thinking there may be times when precision of language is pretty important.

I look forward to reading more of your blog.

    May God bless you!

    Best Regards,

    Gwennon

  5. Thank you for visiting my blog. Appreciate, too, your putting a like on some of its content. All glory and praise to God, for he is the one who gives me the songs and who teaches me from his word each day. I am now checking out your blog, as well. Sue

I will not promise to follow, but will visit as often as I can.
Would you add your websites to your profile, so that anyone who comes to Gravatar from your Like ocon can go directly to your website.
Thank you again, and the Lord continue to bless your work.
    Fran
