Be Aware and Beware

Be aware, brothers and sisters,
Be aware.

Be aware of the hungry:
Give them something to eat;
Be aware of the thirsty:
Give the something to drink:
Be aware of those in prison:
Visit, and share with them;
Be aware of the stranger:
Invite them into your home;
Clothe the needy, care for the ill,
Look after orphans and widows in their distress;
Keep yourselves from being polluted by the world.

For “Truly I tell you,
Whatever you did for one of the least of these
Brothers and sisters of mine,
You did for me”

Be aware, brothers and sisters,
And beware.

written in response to the state of our world, prompted by today’s Daily Post; and inspired by Matthew 25:31-46 and James 1:19-27
