Ask, Seek, Knock

door knock

Ask and it will be given to you,
For everyone who earnestly asks, receives;
Seek and it will be revealed to you,
For the one who fervently seeks, finds;
Knock and the door will be opened to you:
There awaits a Father’s forgiving embrace.

inspired by Matthew 7:7-8

This week the dVerse Poets Pub Poetics suggested writing a poem that reflects the idea of doors – and includes the word in some form, or a synonym for the word.

  1. I appreciate the closing phrase “to you”, especially before the last line where “to you” is followed by “There awaits a Father’s forgiving embrace.”

    Thanks also for the likes on Dr. J’s Apothecary Shoppe.
