Insufficient stuff, and not enough nonsense
Fuliginous mirrors reflecting mysted incense
Short-lived quickening, first here and fast gone
In eternity’s longevity, there can be only one
Iconic deception, reality transformed
Mechanical autometry, sparked withall re-formed
One true path past falsehood, paves the way to life
Eradicating mendacity, surpassing serpentine strife
Alliterative allegory paints a plainer picture
Nearly-truths and almost-lies – a volatile mixture
One last veracity, in deference to cadence:
If to err is ever human, the rest may be silence
Today’s Na/GloPoWriMo2016 challenge is to write using a combination of ‘high-flown’ non-conversational vocabulary with everyday simpler words, so I thought why not combine a bit of overstated nonsense with simple truth.
(and throwing in a Silver Threading ‘word of the week’ and another of my own creation – why not?)
