Betrayal #NaPoWriMo2016 #GloPoWriMo2016

The price of a kiss?
What value on an embrace?
One night’s betrayal
Denying a lifetime’s love
Thirty pieces of silver

Today’s challenge was to write a poem which closely describes an object or place, and but ends with a much more abstract line that doesn’t seemingly have anything to do with that object or place, but which, of course, really does.

  1. Really loved this poem, maybe because Jesus’ betrayal by Judas has always led me to ask: if not Judas then who? How was Jesus able to keep Judas close to Him and treat this betrayer as a friend? I don’t know. I couldn’t do it for sure … so thanks for sharing 🙂
