The wheels on the bus go round and round,
round and round,
slowing down.
the wheels on the bus grind to a halt,
in London traffic
The wipers on the bus go swish, swish, swish;
slosh, slosh, slosh,
swish, swish, swish,
the people on the bus go wish, wish, wish,
we weren’t in London
The horn on the bus go beep, beep, beep;
Beep, beep, beep,
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
because no-one’s getting anywhere,
in London traffic
The people on the bus go splutter, splutter, splutter
cough, cough cough,
feeling rough.
wish we were by the sea instead of stuck,
on this London bus
I hear you – having been there in the past and experienced the frustration. But sitting in the heat and drought of an African country longing for rain, you paint an appealing picture. (Although we do have the traffic and can sit for hours sometimes waiting to move!) Thanks for the chuckle this Friday morning. God bless you
