20 Years Apart

A collaboration
Of two men,
Joined by name,
Divided by 20 years;
The older
Regarding the younger,
Not recognising
The man he was;
Lamenting
The man he became;
Still hoping
For the man he is
Yet to be;
Lord, have mercy.
