“Eloi, Eloi,
lama sabachthani” –
He felt forsaken,
The pain of separation
From His Father,
And ours;
Ended by His defeat
Of death and sin
Through His resurrection,
His returning ascension,
Creating the pathway
For our reconciliation
And salvation
Through faith in Him.

Reconciliation
The solution to the human condition, to the problems of our world is the same as it has been since the dawn of time: reconciliation. Reconciliation into a relationship with our creator, our master, our loving Father God. He chose us, and has always sought to restore the relationship mankind broke in the beginning.
The gracious means to reconciling the relationship is the greatest gift God in His mercy has given us – faith in our Saviour Jesus Christ.
‘For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.’
– Ephesians 2:14-16
Pause in the Silence
Make space
Make time
Then pause
In the silence
Shield your mind
To the noise
Of this world
And pause
Open up
To your God
His kingdom
Is near
His Spirit
Is with us
So pause
Hear His voice
Breaking through
The silence
To whisper
And roar
Reblog: March On
A subject very close to my heart – the unity of the family of believers as the Body of Christ – put into beautiful words. Love it!
Together we are, united as one.
Brothers and sisters, together at last.
We’ll march till it’s over, till He says over.
We’ll shout and we’ll praise, as the trumpets all blast,
We’ll let it be known. This is our promise, as it once
Has been told, to us the children,
To us the forgiven. We are the chosen, the liberated,
And unworthy. He gave himself for us, from His love
We are new. Now we must march, raise our swords,
Give thanks to The One, the Great I Am.
Be a doer, be apart of the movement, because
When He opens the gate, and calls us all home,
We’ll sit down to dinner, and talk about life.
So when our time comes, remember this bit;
Always give thanks, for the blessings He gave,
But until that time comes we match to the promise.
Reflections on the Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the very presence of God in us, the power of God in us, and the promise of Jesus fulfilled every day.
We are the body of Christ, the people of God, His church. Let us make ourselves a place where the Spirit is welcome to come, content to rest, free to lead, released to equip, fuel, and speak through us, to point the world to Jesus Christ our Saviour for the glory of the Father, and to move us ever forward.
Amen!
God’s Priceless Gift
For mortal men,
The Son of Man:
God’s priceless gift,
The defeat of death;
Redemption by blood;
Reconciliation by grace;
Salvation through faith –
Faith unlocked in Him,
In Him who died,
Who rose and lives,
Who lives, and reigns
At Father’s right hand,
In the place of honour,
And shall come again.
A Thought: Perfect Paradox
A perfect paradox: the Son shines and reigns, for all eternity – step into the Light and be soaked by His Spirit.

A Prayer by Clarissa Pinkola Estés
Refuse to fall down
If you cannot refuse to fall down,
refuse to stay down.
If you cannot refuse to stay down,
lift your heart toward heaven,
and like a hungry beggar,
ask that it be filled.
You may be pushed down.
You may be kept from rising.
But no one can keep you from lifting your heart
toward heaven
only you.
It is in the middle of misery
that so much becomes clear.
The one who says nothing good
came of this,
is not yet listening.
― Clarissa Pinkola Estés, The Faithful Gardener: A Wise Tale About That Which Can Never Die
The Love Flows Through
The love flows through
The blood flowed out;
The flaws wiped clean,
The gifts flood down.
The slaves to death,
Lives now set free;
Let the word spread out,
The love flowing through.
