Can there ever be a truly “Christian country”? God’s kingdom has no borders, God’s church is for all nations, and God’s people have one universal language: love.
Faith is a gift from God, a matter of personal commitment and discipleship; not an accident of birth or location, nor a result of coercion.
‘But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.’
– 1 Peter 2:9
‘Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance; behold, He taketh up the isles as a very little thing.’
– Isaiah 40:15
A job well done here! I’d also like to add that I don’t feel that God “predestined” some who will be saved and others He “predestined” to be condemned!
All people have free will to believe or reject the scriptures. If it’s on one’s heart to hear the word sincerely, God will “feed” them and they will gain faith…as “faith comes by hearing the word of God.” (Romans 10:17)
May more and more people open their hearts by opening their ears and believe the word of truth!

Yes, there can. But it requires the type of Israel that existed before the kings, where the people were ruled by the anointed prophets of God. He would have to agree to such a situation again, and anoint a leader.
I look at Ezekiel 11:
14Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 15 Son of man, thy brethren, even thy brethren, the men of thy kindred, and all the house of Israel wholly, are they unto whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, Get you far from the LORD: unto us is this land given in possession. 16 Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come. 17 Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.
Here we see that the inhabitants of Jerusalem (the house of Judah, at that time) had said unto Ezekiel’s brethren, men of his kindred, and the house of Israel wholly, “Get you far from the Lord. Unto us is this land given in possession”. Because of the house Judah’s unwillingness to give the scattered men of the house of Israel any place to to come back to, the Lord promised to be little sanctuaries in the countries where they were being carried.
A nation’s embassies in foreign countries are sanctuaries where the laws and customs and friendliness of the mother government are celebrated. Our mother is the Jerusalem which is above. However, we live as aliens in foreign countries.
We can choose to break the bonds that yoke us with unbelievers, come out from among them, stop touching their unclean things, & set up places where we can show our preference for the family of faith, and perfect holiness in the fear of the Lord.
Thus, we can manifest as the sons of God, a royal priesthood with a global footprint blessing all the families of the earth.
Christ’s church ( the body of Christ) is made up of believers. Only in man’s reasoning could there be a Christian country. Whosoever will is His invitation. As God tells us…His ways and thoughts are not ours. Fine post.
