O what a powerful Word,
O what a beautiful Name,
Jesus Christ died for me!
O give me a voice to proclaim!
Born to show me the Way,
And I will never be the same,
Saved me by His grace,
He took away all my shame.
Came down to Earth to show us Truth,
He died to give us Life . . .
O Holy Spirit give me a voice
To proclaim His Holy Name!
“A Native American elder once described his own inner struggles in this manner: Inside of me there are two dogs. One of the dogs is mean and evil. The other dog is good. The mean dog fights the good dog all the time. When asked which dog wins, he reflected for a moment and replied, The one I feed the most.” ― George Bernard Shaw
I waited patiently for the Lord,
he turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and mire,
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.
He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God. Psalm 40:1-3
His word, and this song, meaning so much to me this day.
“Let a new day come, a revival in our lives O God
You’re the God of love and truth
You’re the father of the breakthrough
And Your justice will prevail
For all who need Your light”
