A Thought: Lessons from our bank statements

The Internet will tell you, “If you want to know where your heart is, look to where your mind goes when it wanders.”

I prefer what a godly woman once said in a seminar I attended, “If you want to know where your hearts is, look at your bank and credit card statements.”

How much of that which God gives us do we invest in His kingdom through faithful regular giving to His church, or charities which serve the benefit of those in need?

As he looked up, Jesus saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. “I tell you the truth,” he said, “this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.”
Luke 21:1-4

The widow’s mite –
See the light!
Give your all:
See blessings fall.
